About Michael Avon
Michael is a Venture Advisor at PJC, and a Partner at ABS Capital Partners, a leading growth equity fund, where he invests in growth technology and data business across a number of sectors. Michael is also the Founder and Executive Chairman of PJC portfolio company ICX Media, an audience and content intelligence company delivering AI-powered analytics and insights to media and entertainment companies and brands. Prior to founding ICX Media, Michael was a founding board member, and ultimately the CFO and EVP, of Millennial Media, a leading mobile advertising technology and data business that went public in 2012 and ultimately sold to Verizon. Earlier in his career, Michael was a venture capitalist with Columbia Capital, based in Alexandria, Virginia.
Michael is actively involved in the Washington, DC and New York technology and startup communities advising and mentoring numerous companies in each market and working with several incubators and accelerator programs. He is also actively involved with the University of Virginia, College Foundation where he serves on two boards.
Outside of work, Michael is an avid sports fan, spending much of his free time watching his kids play lacrosse, soccer and basketball and occasionally catching a Nationals, Capitals or UVA basketball game. His other athletic interests include sailing, hiking running and he is a hack guitarist in his spare time.
