David Martirano

David Martirano is the Managing Partner of PJC. David has extensive experience investing broadly in Internet, Software, and Tech Enabled Service companies.

Prior to PJC, David Co-founded Rex Capital and previously was a member of the Investment Banking Group at Cowen & Company.

David received a Master of Business Administration degree from Columbia Business School and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Rhode Island. David sits on the Board of Trustees at the University of Rhode Island and the Investment Committee of Lifespan and has been actively involved with Year Up Rhode Island.

Sean Marsh
Sean Marsh

Sean is a General Partner at PJC and focuses on investments in Internet, Mobile and Saas companies.

Prior to PJC, Sean was a partner at two other venture capital firms, Village Ventures and TSG Equity Partners. Previously, Sean worked in the Investment Banking Group of Prudential Securities.

Sean is a member of the Bowdoin College Board of Trustees Technology Advisory Committee. Additionally, Sean has been a judge and a mentor for multiple early stage venture accelerator programs including Boston based MassChallenge and Techstars. He is also involved with entrepreneurial and venture capital activities at MIT and Babson College.  Sean holds a BA in Economics from Bowdoin College.

Zaid Ashai
Zaid Ashai

Zaid Ashai is a General Partner at PJC. Zaid focuses on the firm’s Energy Efficiency Investments.

Prior to joining PJC, Zaid worked at GoodEnergies, where he was elected a Kauffman Fellow. Zaid joined Good Energies from Harborvest Partners and was previously an investment banking analyst in Credit Suisse’s Technology Group.

Zaid holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School and an MPA from the JFK School of Government at Harvard University. At Harvard University, Zaid was selected as a Zuckerman Fellow. He has an AB in International Relations and Economics, with honors and Phi Beta Kappa, from Brown University. Zaid has served as a judge and mentor for the New England Cleantech Open and has served as guest faculty member for the Pennsylvania Power Law Conference hosted by the Pennsylvania Bar Institute.

Mike Cunningham
Mike Cunningham

Mike is a Principal at PJC. He works on investing and supporting software, internet and technology companies in the consumer, enterprise, energy efficiency and healthcare industries.

Prior to joining PJC, Mike was a member of EY’s Transaction Advisory Services Group where he worked with companies of various sizes, from Fortune 500 to startups.

Mike graduated summa cum laude from Bentley University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and a second degree in Global Sustainability, accompanied by a minor in Economics. Mike passed all three levels of the CFA exam in his first attempt and is a member of the Dana Farber Leadership Council.

Matt Hayes
Matt Hayes

Matthew is a Principal at PJC and focuses on the firm’s consumer and enterprise technology investments.

Prior to PJC, Matthew was a member of the founding team at Teespring.com. His responsibilities included seller growth, business development, strategic partnerships, and corporate initiatives.

Matthew attended the University of Rhode Island where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in Accounting. Matthew was also the senior commencement speaker at his commencement ceremony.
